Haworthia scabra var. lateganiae (V.Poelln.) M.B.Bayer

lateganiae: in honour of Mrs. Lategan.

H. scabra var. lateganiae is larger, light green species. It resembles starkiana, differences are longer, more slender leaves and colour is more greenish. Rosette from 4 - 6 cm in diameter, it forms clusters in the nature.

Distribution map
H. scabra var. lateganiae is known from area W of De Rust, around Klein Kruis and Groot Kruis. It is growing in close proximity with scabra and arachnoidea var. setata. 
It is not yet much widespread in cultivation, but it can be very attractive. Cultivation is same as with other "hard" leave Haworthias, it can have a bit more sunshine. Propagation is easiest from offsets.
