Distribution map

H. lockwoodii is growing in the area south of Laingsburg. At Rouxpos, SE. Rooinek Pass is H lockwoodii growing in close proximity to H. mucronata and natural hybrids are common from this area.

To grow a nice specimen in cultivation needs time. Be carefully with watering - you can very easy lost the plant when water gets (and stay there for a while) into the rosette. Propagation is usually done by seeds.
