Haworthia graminifolia G.G.Smith
graminifolia: grass-like leaves.
H. graminifolia has long dark green leaves - over 300 mm, usually not wider then 1,5 mm. They are more channelled than H. blackburniae. H. graminifolia occurs on cooler, higher south slopes and is winter growing. The roots are very thickened and fleshy. It is not proliferous as H. blackburniae.
H. graminifolia is known from Schoemanspoort area and also from collection of Peter Bruyns in the Gamkapoort. I have seen this nice and quite rare plant in Schoemanspoort, on top of the hills near Rus-en-Vrede turn off. It was quite difficult to locate the plants among the grass.
H. graminifolia in cultivation is not easy species, it needs shady position and watering in the winter time. Propagation is be done by seeds.
