T. kingiana is a bright green species with flat, rounded tubercles. Forms with very white tubercles or completely glabrous forms were also recorded. It is a slowly proliferous species and can grow up to 18 cm in diamater.
Distribution map
T. kingiana is very rare in nature. It occurs from the Herbetsdale in the West to the Great Brak in the East. Plants from Herbetsdale are different from typical kingiana from Great Braka area, some influence of minima is possible. Recently has been discovered very attractive form from near Hartenbos, called f. chameleon. It resembles somehow T. marginata due to the leave shape and colour. In cultivation it is still quite uncommon species and also not the easist one. Propagation can be done by seeds or offsetts.
