globifera: forming globose clusters and rosettes.
H. globifera is small, glabrous, slightly stem forming species which is forming clusters. It was described originaly as a variety of H. pulchella. The leaves are pale yellow in winter and rich red in summer. To compare it with H. pulchella, H. globifera requires less protection, it can be grown on more sunny place.
H. globifera is known from SE. Anysberg. It grows high on the north slopes, which are very hot in summer. Near by is also growing H. blackburnia, H. arachnoidea (var. nigricans?) and H. viscosa.
H. globifera is now quite wide-spread in cultivation. It grows without any major problems, propagation can be done by seeds or offsetts.
