viridis: green.

H. marumiana var. viridis is species from marumiana complex. Rosette is up to 4cm, with numerous bright green upright leaves. It is slowly proliferous. This element grows in rock crevices, mainly sandstones rock slabs, higher up in the mountains. 

Distribution map
H. marumiana var. viridis is known only from area S of Prince Albert, on foothils of Swartberg Mountains. There is very interesting form S of town at Malvadraai, which resembles viridis and possibly arachnoidea as well. Elements towards East at Swartberg Mts are more dark green with shorter leaves, there could be connection with H. vlokii, which grows further East around Meiringspoort.  It doesn´t make any problems in cultivation and propagtiton can be done by offsetts or seed.
