This nice species with very turgid leaf faces and rounded leaf-tips is growing at the extreme east of distribution for the "retuse" haworthias. The nearest relative is probably H. picta (H. emelyae sensu MBB). But there is big distance between these two species and nothing in between.

H. springbokvlakensis is growing around farm Springbokvlakte. In nature plants are growing well hidden between small stones deep sunken in the soil - only leaf tips are visible. In cultivation you have to be carefully with watering. It is also quite slowly growing plant, propagation is possible from seeds or leave propagation.
