Haworthia pringlei is glabrous species from cooperi/blackberadiana/decipiens group. Leaves are acuminate, lanceolate with occasional small teeth on margins and keel. The colour is bluish green. It can be slowly proliferous. Bayer related this element as a variety of decipiens together with elements from Jansenville area. Later he described decipiens var. virella (jansenvillensis) from this area and pringlei should come from further East. For me this element can be closer to both cooperi, decipiens and blackbeardiana as well. Because of possible connection to any of these species I rather use old Scotts status as own species.

Distribution map

H. pringlei grows E. Somerset East and around Ripon. H. blackbeardiana grows further to the North, decipiens is far West from here. Pringlei grows in Wester part of cooperi group. Around Somerset East you can find var. dielsiana, further to SE is growing var. cooperi. According to Bayer, cooperi var. cooperi comes from E of Middleton towards Adelaide and Fort Beaufort.

H. pringlei can be very attractive species and it is not difficult to grow. Propagation should be done by seeds or offsetts.
