Haworthia bolusii Baker

H. bolusii is species with oblong-lanceolate, bluish-green leaves with spines on margins and keel. The spines are fine and fully cover the plant. This plant is growing on the hills around Graaff-Reinet. Plants very are slowly proliferous, in natural habitats growing under bushes or among grass. Nearby are H. viscosa, H. marumiana and H. marumiana var. batesiana growing.

M.B.Bayer puts together three different elements under his var. bolusii (sensu I. Breuer). Around Graaff-Reinet is growing "normal" H. bolusii. If we move more than hundred km to the SE - E. Jansenville, there is H. odetteae growing. And if we go SSW from Graaff-Reinet near to Fullarton, there is H. floccosa growing.

H. bolusii is quite easy in cultivation, may be needs more shade protection against direct sun light. Propagation is usually done be seeds.
