Haworthia odetteae I.Breuer

H. odetteae was previously distributed as H. bolusii from Lootskloof. This delicious species is growing in Jansenville, which is around 100km S from Graaff-Reinet, where typical bolusii is growing. The rosette is half the size of H. bolusii. The leaves are very narrow, dark green and opaque, without any translucent marks. The leave margins and keels bear fine, white hairs. Plant, when reach the adult age, is very often dividing it self dichotomously. 

Distribution map

H. odetteae is growing E of Jansenville on several localities near Lootskloof. It grows often near H. jansenvillensis. In cultivation it needs more shady conditions, because in nature it grows under the bushes or in rock crevices. Propagation is usually done by seed, H. odetteae is offsetting slowly.
